It's Official: We are now IDPA Club #CL633280

Montezuma Marksmen is now an official IDPA club #CL633280.  The Welcome News arrived at 9:30 am, March 18.  The club was approved for IDPA affiliation on Saint Patrick's Day, ironically the day following the last Monday Match.

We are so excited by this awesome beginning of a New Era for The Montezuma Marksman.  It's so great to see our name listed as one of the five Arizona IDPA Clubs!

We will be forever grateful to Jeff Brown and The Prescott Action Shooters IDPA for their unwavering support, always-helpful encouragement and relentless enthusiasm for creation of this new club. Thanks also to IDPA Area Coordinator Bill Barron for his positive "can-do" attitude about the formation of our club.

We so appreciate Jeff Brown's financial support as well.  It is a great gift that we will cherish, appreciate and remember forever.  THANK YOU, Jeff!

Monday Match #5 Results

Thanks to everyone for a Great Final Monday Match.  It was the fifth Monday Match of this 2014-2015 Season and the 35th overall since February 2012.

Congratulations to Larry M. for his blazing hot 119.21 final time for #1 ranking.  Congratulations also to David W. for his blazing hot 119.44 final time for #2 position.  Larry and David were separated by less than a quarter of a second in the final standings!

Congratulations to David also be being Most Accurate with a mere 6 points down.  Everyone did great and we learned a lot from each other.

There is no online link for the scores the month.  Practiscore is being bratty and we were lucky to figure out how to get them into a JPG for this blog post.  Here are the results:

Stage 3D views

Thanks to Larry M. we have the first ever 3D graphical look at three Monday Match Stage designs.  Larry really knocked this one out of the park!  AWESOME!

Monday Match #5 Stage Designs

Here are the four stages prepared for Monday Match #5 on March 16th.

The stages are less complex and shorter than normal because we will have a smaller area to work with due to nearby campers.  As of Friday afternoon, it appears we will be shooting as one squad of nine participants.  Hopefully, we can finish the four stages with enough time remaining to reshoot the consensus favorite stage.

The round count is officially 48.  However, the four steel Metal Head targets will consume more rounds for some shooters so plan accordingly.

Thanks to Larry M. for providing his always creative inspiration.  We will shooting a modified version of Larry's "Bad Timing" stage.

The match will begin promptly at 10 am Monday in the normal location on Forest Road 9235G off of the Cornville Road.  We will NOT be utilizing the walk-in area off of Montezuma Well Road.
