Range Location

The Montezuma Marksmen IDPA 2015-2016 Matches will be conducted at a new location on the Coconino National Forest.

This new Range is located on near Milepost 4 on the Beaverhead Road.  The new Range is designed 9204W to coincide with the numbered Forest Service Road that accesses the shooting range.  The new Range will be an ideal location for Saturday IDPA Matches.  FR 9204W intersects the Beaverhead Road at Milepost 4, two miles from Hwy 179 and four miles from the Cornville Road.

The turnoff to FR 9204W is located at 34.72861 -111.80781
The parking area is located at 34.72591 -111.80572

You can access the Google Map shown here with this link: https://goo.gl/U92iI4

The red push pin shows the location of the Range with respect to many well known Arizona cities.
There is ample parking.  The area is legal for vehicles to use.

The access road is in good condition and might not get too muddy in wet weather.

The road exists to service a range allotment livestock watering facility.

Here's our truck and the prominent tank as seen from the top of the backstop.

The backstop rises 65 feet above grade. The distance from the firing line to
the base of the backstop is about 550 feet.  The firing line is 500+ feet long.

You simply can't miss seeing Milepost #4 going in either direction.

Luckily, there is no gate to open or close.  We will repair the steep edge
of the cattle guard prior to the first match.

Everything is well marked.
Note that we have contacted the Forest Service about ranching operations in this area.  Cattle will not be put on this pasture until January 8th and will be here for only one month.  We will be able to use this Range for four out of five of our Arizona Season IDPA Matches.
