The Match dates are: November 14, December 19, January 9, February 20 and March 19, weather permitting. Matches are conducted on Coconino National Forest public land. For a description of the range and its location see:
Although the matches begin at 10:30 AM, participants are strongly encouraged to arrive by 10 AM am so they can make ready their match gear, sign in, etc. Please be signed in prior to the Safety Orientation at 10:15 AM
The Match Safety Orientation begins at 10:15 AM with The Pledge of Allegiance. We hope that everyone has their gear ready, magazines loaded so we can begin the Match itself on time at 10:30 AM.
Montezuma Marksmen IDPA matches include four stages, three scenario stages and one standards stage. Each Match will have two Squads with a maximum of eight shooters per squad.
The Monday Matches are designed to be finished by 1 PM. Participants are encouraged to assist in the takedown of Stage materials and also to help pack the truck and/or trailer. The range is normally completely clear on or before 1:30 PM.
Note that the Match Director normally spends all day Friday preparing and packing for each Saturday Match. The Match Director arrives at the Range at 8 am to set up the Flag, registration table, Stages, etc. Any assistance prior to the Montezuma Marksmen IDPA Match is always very much appreciated.
Montezuma Marksmen IDPA Matches are 100% totally non-commercial. Donations are appreciated but not required to participate. The suggested donation is $10. The proceeds of all donations are used on a cost-sharing basis solely to acquire and replenish match supplies such as targets, tape, and stage construction materials and props, water, safety gear, etc.
